Role Overview

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer II for a team responsible for building large-scale software solutions supporting complex operational environments. This team develops automation technologies and backend systems that help improve efficiency and decision-making. This is an opportunity to work on impactful software, collaborate with experienced engineers, and contribute to systems that process massive volumes of data and events at scale.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications and backend services.

Write new production-quality code while enhancing and improving existing systems.

Build metrics, dashboards, and monitoring capabilities to improve system visibility and performance.

Design solutions using software engineering and system design principles.

Partner with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.

Drive projects from concept and design through development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.

Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues within production environments.

Required Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.

A minimum of three years of professional software development experience is required.

Hands-on experience developing applications using Java.

Experience building and supporting production applications or backend services.

Understanding of software architecture, object-oriented design, and system design principles.

Experience delivering software products and features to end users.

Ability to work independently while collaborating with technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience developing software solutions that leverage AI technologies.

Experience mentoring junior engineers or providing technical leadership.

Experience working within large-scale, distributed technology environments.

Experience supporting systems that process high-volume transactional or event-driven workloads.
